HISTORY :
This dipping sauce, pronounced "Ong" in Thai, is named after a Thai woman who was making a curry paste but had to stop halfway through to attend to her crying son. The woman served the delicious blend to her neighbours and it quickly gained popularity as a tasty dip. This paste has a dark red colour from tomatoes and is both sour and salty.
